Webster Technique

Dr. Arah McLaughlin is certified from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in the Webster Technique. This technique is designed to reduce in-utero constraint in the pregnant female allowing the baby to get into a better position and to reduce the chance of breech birth and back labor. This in-utero constraint is often caused by sacral misalignment which then causes torsion of specific pelvic muscles and ligaments. It is these tense muscles and ligaments and their constraining effect on the uterus which prevents the baby from comfortably assuming the best possible position for birth. The goal of receiving chiropractic treatment and the Webster technique is then to reduce the chance of sacral misalignment which can then lead to these constraining effects.
